Designed to help ease the stress many parents experience when they have a child who is in the hospital for an extended period of time, CaringBridge™ allows families to set up a Website about their child, post updates on their child's condition as well as pictures.


Families can receive messages in the on-line "guest book" from family and friends who can offer words of encouragement and support to the family. There is also room to list Website addresses so visitors can be directed to sites that can help a family explain a new diagnosis or treatment

There is no cost to set up a CaringBridge Website and a there are various levels of security available. Families can easily set up their own Website from any computer with Internet access. To learn more about CaringBridge go to

Families can also visit the Southeast Regional Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs. There are also digital cameras available for 4-hour checkouts to families who are inpatient at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
